How to stop stress RIGHT NOW!

Stress, believe or not is self-inflicted. In other words, it cannot hurt you, affect you, move you unless you give it permission to. Let me explain:
You're at work, someone drops a 50 page report and tells you I need this read and highlighted within the hour.
Stress? Not really. It's up to you and how you react to the situation. You can react one of two ways to this situation. You can allow it to hurt you, bring you down, move you to think the worse case scenario possible. Or you can just decide to attack it. Fight back! Take on the challenge. Get it done.
If you see that despite your best efforts, you're not achieving your goal and failure is eminent, then you can absolve yourself of any guilt. And, most importantly, you can refuse any guilt anyone else wants to place on you.
Each and every time, it comes down to what you do, how you react. Because the truth is that's what stress really is. It's your reaction to a difficult situation. React badly to a problem and that's your stress. React calmly, cooly to a problem and that's your victory.
As a Need-Therapist I tell all my clients, you cannot let need get the best of you. You may feel a need to stress but you must fight that need back and not let it get the best of you.
The most important thing to remember is this:
Stress is your reaction to an undesirable situation. Change your reaction, get rid of the stress.
